Hypnotherapy for Confidence and Self-Esteem

Whether in person or through online sessions, hypnotherapy for confidence and self esteem is designed to empower you and build them both back up. The impact of hypnotherapy in this context is nothing short of amazing. It excels at reshaping our core beliefs, particularly the way we perceive ourselves.

It’s how we talk to ourselves too

We often find ourselves in the grips of an unrelenting inner critic, a voice echoing harsh judgments, sometimes even resembling the disapproving tone of a family member. This constant self-critique adds unnecessary pressure and leaves us feeling perpetually disheartened. When we continually berate ourselves, our self-belief wanes, and our self-worth takes a hit. We'd never treat loved ones or friends this way, but we tolerate this negative self-talk. Hypnotherapy holds the key to silencing this inner critic, allowing a gentler, more nurturing voice to emerge. It supports us in realizing our inherent worth, reminding us that we are valuable, capable, and more than capable of achieving what our lack of confidence may suggest otherwise.

The Cycle of Negative Self-Perception

The more we dwell on negative self-perceptions, the deeper these beliefs embed themselves in our subconscious. Our minds are constantly bombarded with these negative thoughts, reinforcing our sense of unworthiness. The subconscious begins to collect "evidence" supporting these beliefs, even if they originated from unfounded, unkind comments or a series of setbacks. This erosion of self-esteem and confidence leads to a decline in the things we once enjoyed, isolating us further. In professional settings, a lack of confidence can result in missed opportunities, stagnant careers, and a sense of unfulfillment. It's a domino effect, impacting various aspects of life and even manifesting as physical symptoms, significantly affecting mental health.

Hypnotherapy: A Different Approach

The 'therapy' aspect of hypnotherapy involves utilizing counselling skills to explore the root causes of your self-relationship challenges. We investigate and understand the origins, allowing us to transform your perception of those initial events. Hypnosis also equips you with tools to manage the physical symptoms that arise when your confidence is tested.

Unlocking Your Inner Compassion

If deep down, you don't feel worthy, your subconscious will continually seek evidence to support this belief. It's time to reshape that internal dialogue into something kinder and more supportive. Let us boost your self-esteem and self-confidence, rewiring your subconscious, so you can finally be your true self once again.

More detailed information about hypnotherapy for confidence and self esteem.

Hypnotherapy for confidence and self esteem can be amazing. It can be extremely effective because hypnotherapy is brilliant at changing our beliefs and in particular - how we feel and what we believe about ourselves.

How you speak to yourself matters

Being harsh on yourself, that constant inner critic (maybe you even hear it in the voice of a family member). It puts so much pressure on you, and constantly leaves you feeling down and disillusioned. When we’re constantly making ourselves feel bad, shaming ourselves, then we believe those things more and more and our mindset is constantly how awful we are, we’d never speak to loved ones or friends this way. Hypnotherapy can help to change the mind of this inner critic, it can allow the more gentle and kind inner voice to come through to support us and allow us to see (and truly feel) that we’re worthy, we have value and we really can do those things that a lack of confidence says we can’t.

The more we think negatively about ourselves, the more we believe it

Because we hear it all the time, we’re reinforcing the negative beliefs about ourselves. The subconscious is constantly hearing all these negative things, just adding to it’s list of “evidence” as to why we’re not worthy or can’t do the difficult thing. The more it hears this the more it believes it’s gathering clear evidence as to why this belief is true - and it isn’t true. Maybe it originally came because someone said something mean and untrue. Maybe we’ve experienced a series of setbacks and start to believe we’re unworthy. So many reasons can contribute to the destruction of our self worth and self confidence. Usually the more we feel we’re not worthy the less we begin to do, and we stop doing the things that we enjoy and the things that used to bring us joy. Maybe we go out less, and the less we go out the less we want to and it then becomes a bigger problem. Maybe we don’t have the confidence to speak up at work so we’re passed by for promotions and we’re feeling stuck and unfulfilled. A loss of self esteem and confidence has a huge knock on effect in so many areas of our life - not to mention the physical symptoms it can bring. It really can be a destructor of mental health.

How can hypnotherapy help when nothing else has worked?

Because we reprogram your thoughts and beliefs. That’s it in a nutshell. That is actually it. The therapy part of hypnotherapy is the use of counselling skills so we can talk about the real reasons your relationship with yourself has taken a dive. Investigate and see where it comes from so we can change how you see that initial event and in hypnosis suggest to the subconscious how it can keep that event in the past and break it’s hold on you in the present. We can use suggestions in hypnosis to help you manage the physical symptoms when your confidence is challenged.

If deep down you don’t believe you are worthy then your subconscious will always find ways to seek supporting evidence, because it’s a belief. We can change that inner patter to be nicer and kind. We can lift your self esteem and your self confidence and we can rewire your subconscious and have you feeling like yourself again, finally.

So how do we get started?

The initial session with me (either in person in Edinburgh or online) is approximately an hour and is a chance for a thorough chat for me to gather all the information about what’s going on for you, so we can get to the bottom of what’s happening so we can change it where it began. I also do an initial ninety minute session which includes the information gathering but also an initial session of hypnosis to kick things off. From there most clients see sustainable results between the second and third sessions of hypnosis and after five feel that their changes have been significant and permanent enough to finish up and we’re done. You can book a free consultation call in my calendar below or send me a message with the form below, I look forward to helping you.
