Hypnosis with me is a safe, relaxing and effective way of making changes in your life by changing how you think about things, using verbal suggestions, while you are in a deeply relaxed state. It feels like you’re napping on a warm afternoon and can actually be very uplifting. It can be unbelievably successful in ways you might not have thought about, but most importantly you will still feel like you, you will feel absolutely like yourself - maybe more like yourself than you have in a long time.

I’m a registered and experienced hypnotherapist who is led by the client but you have the benefit of my experience and my way of working to keep things on track and to help you find the underlying cause of the problem you’re seeking help for.

I am intuitive and empathetic, I won’t judge you and will always hold your wellbeing and safety as the most important aspect of the work we will do.

Hypnotherapy Definition:

Oxford Reference states: “n. a sleeplike state, artificially induced in a person by a hypnotherapist, in which the mind is more than usually receptive to suggestion and memories of past events – apparently forgotten – may be elicited by questioning. Hypnotic suggestion may be used for a variety of therapeutic purposes; as a form of psychotherapy it is known as hypnotherapy.”

Merriam Webster states: “psychotherapy that facilitates suggestion, re-education, or analysis by hypnosis.”

I particularly like the Merriam Webster offering of “re-education”. Because that’s what a lot of the work with the hypnotherapist might be. Re-educating the subconscious, re-programming what we believe about ourselves. Re-educating our subconscious as to who we really are and how we want to act and feel, to unlearn harsh words from others that have stayed with us. To learn new ways of coping with stress and anxiety, bringing back our self esteem and new ways to achieve the goals we have for ourselves. Deep relaxation and our subconscious in a heightened state of focused attention allows the hypnotherapist’s suggestions to be accepted by the subconscious. We can then re-program the mind and the mind body connection.
